Equine LTS 3.0- Triple Light Therapy

What is Light Therapy?

Equine LTS Light Therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that utilizes Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) delivered through high-powered LED technology to stimulate cellular repair and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Specific wavelengths of light penetrate tissue and deliver photons that are absorbed by the mitochondria within cells. This process helps increase the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy source for cellular function. By enhancing ATP production, light therapy supports improved cellular activity, helping accelerate tissue repair, regeneration, and recovery.

The Equine LTS 3.0 Triple Light Therapy system used in our practice incorporates three therapeutic wavelengths:

  • 450 nm Blue Light - Targets surface-level tissues and the skin, helping provide antibacterial support and assisting in the management of fungal and superficial skin conditions, as well as faster wound closure.

  • 660 nm Red Light - Penetrates into muscles, tendons, and ligaments to help stimulate cell growth up to 200%, reduce inflammation, reduce wound size and scar tissue formation, and support healing.

  • 850 nm Near-Infrared Light - Reaches deeper into soft tissues, including joints and bone, helping relieve soreness, stiffness, and inflammation while promoting tissue repair by enhancing circulation and delivery of essential nutrients such as oxygen into muscles.

Working together, these three wavelengths provide a comprehensive therapeutic approach that can help reduce pain and inflammation, enhance recovery, support tissue healing, and assist in both injury prevention and rehabilitation for acute and chronic conditions.
